If the weather has dampened your weekend plans, don’t worry, Goa Tourism’s 'Goa Food and Cultural Festival' has got you covered! The Goa Food and Cultural festival starts today, May 20, 2022 and will continue till May 22, 2022 at D B Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panjim.
The three-day festival has an interesting lineup of food and beverage stalls, dances, bands and great music, giving a mix of food and culture to the public.
The Goa Food and Cultural Festival will be inaugurated today, May 20, 2022 at 6pm at DB Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panjim at the hands of Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant in the presence of Minister for Tourism, Rohan Khaunte, Sanvordem MLA and Chairman of GTDC, Ganesh Gaonkar, CCP Mayor, Rohit Monserrate and Secretary (Tourism), Ravi Dhawant.
Day 1 of the Goa Food and Cultural Festival will have a Goan folk dance by ‘Niz Goenkar’, and live performance by a popular Goan band ‘Crimson Tide’. Shibani Kashyap and group from Mumbai will also perform live at this year's festival.
One can also witness performances by both Goan as well as national bands over the three days of the festival.
And, that’s not all! Day 2 of the Goa Food and Cultural Festival promises some foot tapping music. The lineup includes live bands ie ‘Ambassadors’ and ‘Steel’ . Popular dance crew, ‘Dance O Philia’ from Goa will also set the stage moving on the second day. One can also enjoy live performances by Sanam Singh and group, from Delhi.
One can visit the numerous stalls at the festival, which will have both food and beverages, providing some great insight into Goa’s cuisine.
On Sunday, May 22, 2022 there will be a duet by Johnny and Reza. Also, ‘The imperial’ and 'Nachoya' will perform live on Day 3 of the Goa Food and Cultural Festival of Goa Tourism.
The much-awaited Chef de Goa Awards will also be declared on Day 3, which will be followed by a live performance by Astitva, Delhi.
The festival is open to all! No entry fees.
