The Goa Marathi Film Festival starts tomorrow

With an interesting lineup of 22 Marathi films, the 13th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival (GMFF) is all set to be held in Goa from August 5, 2022 to August 7, 2022 at Inox and Maquinez Palace, Panjim.

The opening film for the GMFF this year will be Sahela Re, directed by Mrinal Kulkarni. The chief guest for the opening will be Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, and Minister for Art and Culture, Govind Gaude. The inaugural will start from 5.30 pm onwards at Inox, Panjim.

What to look for at the Goa Marathi Film Festival

The film festival will feature the world premieres of Crypto Aajji, Pillu Bachelor, and the Asian premier of Deid, screened at the New York and Melbourne Film Festivals.

Four films namely Mi Vasantrao, June, Godakaath and Goshta Eka Paithanichi which won the national awards will be screened during the festival and also the national award winners will be felicitated.

Popular veteran actor, Ashok Saraf, will be presented with the Krutadnyata Puruskar lifetime achievement award.

Other films like Y, Godavari, Taathkaana, Goda Kaath, Chandramukhi, Time Pass 3, Zombivli, Pondicherry, Ye re ye re pavsa, Tamasha Live, Wagro, Ticha Shahar Hone, etc will be screened at the festival.
