The annual Mega Goa World Expos 2022 is all set to take place at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim, from August 4, 2022 to August 6, 2022.

This year, the expo will focus on India’s Hospitality and Tourism, Organic Food and Beverages, Ayush and Wellness, Interiors and Home, etc.

Speaking to the media, the chairman of Trinity Group, Joseph Dias, said, “We have been hosting the expo for years and our idea is to put Goa on the global map. We want to work towards kickstarting Goa’s economy and help Goans.”

The expo also aims to enable visitors from across the country and abroad to have joint ventures with Goa.

Highlight of the expo

At the three-day ‘Mega Goa World Expos 2022,’ over 100 brands will showcase their products.

Around 7,000 business visitors are expected to visit the expo in Goa.

Schemes and incentives by the union and state ministries, for the benefit the citizens, will also be presented at the event.

Visitors will get a chance to observe culinary endeavors, ventures and challenges. There will be various demonstrations, as well as outlets serving Indian and Pan Asian Cuisine, and more.

Demos, displays, conferences, seminars and workshops will be held during the annual Mega Goa World Expos 2022.

Chef Sunit Sharma, of the Culinary Forum of Goa, also mentioned that there will be trained Japanese chefs who will demonstrate how to make sushi. "Interestingly, 'sushi' is trending. A lot of people love it and during the pandemic, around 4 to 5 Japanese restaurants opened up in Goa. Therefore, we will learn about its secrets," said Sharma.

He further added that the purpose of the expo is to create a platform for, both, professional as well as home-based chefs to bring forth their work to the people. "The pandemic gave a chance to many people to showcase their culinary skills. There were some who had exceptional skills and techniques which are not known to many and through this we want to highlight and bring forward these aspect," Sharma added.

Could this be the next big thing in music from Goa?

Among the many workshops and demonstrations, there will be India's Cheese Master who will demonstrate how to make different type of cheeses.

President of the Culinary Club, Odette Mascarenhas, said that the idea of the expo and our club is to bring Goa's food to the fore. "Goa has the best food, and our intent is to showcase it to the world. There will be a lot of interesting culinary experiences which visitors will get to witness."
