Ahead of Goa Assembly elections, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Nuvem candidate Francisco 'Mickky' Pacheco on Friday, February 4, hinted at a possible post-poll alliance with Congress.
Addressing a press conference, Mickky said, "The political ideology of the NCP and the Congress is same. If we win, we will support the Congress party, but we will decide who will be the next chief minister."
The NCP has formed a pre poll alliance with the Shiv Sena for the upcoming Goa Assembly elections.
Mickky also took a dig at the leader of opposition DIgambar Kamat and said he missed on a Congress party ticket from Benaulim due to Margao MLA.
NCP is contesting on 10 seats for the upcoming Assembly election in Goa. Mickky is set to face former Congress minister Aleixo Sequeira at the Nuvem constituency.
When asked about his manifesto, Pacheco said, "Nuvem voters are supreme for me and whatever they say will be my manifesto."
After Pacheco was denied Congress ticket from Velim, he joined his former party that he had quit in 2011.
In January, the former tourism minister quit the grand old party after he was denied a ticket from Benaulim. Later, he joined NCP.
