Civil service aspirants advised to think out of the box

"Life experiences make a person and help him to identify his potential. Try to become better citizens through your actions. Think out of the box to become good administrators," advised Labour and Employment Commissioner Agnelo A J Fernandes.

He was speaking at an orientation on ‘civil service competitive exam (GPSC/UPSC)’ for civil service aspirants at the Regional Employment Exchange, Model Career Centre, Panjim, recently.

The motivating sessions were delivered by eminent speakers Adv Shailesh Kulkarni and Umesh Dani.

The speakers guided the participants about the various levels and the pattern of the competitive examination including a detailed outline of the questions pertaining to various areas.

They emphasized on which areas the aspirants could focus on with respect to their forte thereby facilitating their approach of having a positive attitude towards cracking the exam.

The speakers also enlisted the various other competitive exams that aspirants can attempt to get into the Indian administration.

They advised participants to devote separate time for their preparation and keep attempting various exams for hands-on practice along with staying updated on current affairs.

The employment exchange's endeavour is to encourage the youth, shaping their personality and help them attain a new vision for the future.

The department organises placement drives, job fairs, career guidance sessions and other activities for the youth by visiting various sectors and organizations.

Deputy Labour Commissioner Prasad Pednekar, Employment Officer Bhalchandra Sinai Kenkare, Rajat Harwalekar were also present as coordinators.

Assistant Employment Officer Dattaraj Naik moderated the entire programme and delivered the welcome speech.
