Goa College of Engineering (GEC) steals the show at Gomantak YIN’s 'Yuva Josh'

In order to provide a platform for the youth of Goa to showcase their skills and talents, Gomantak's Young Inspirators Network recently hosted an inter-collegiate competition 'Yuva Josh,' for colleges across Goa, at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panjim.

Over 500 participants and 20 colleges from Goa participated in the competition.

The chief guest for the inaugural was the Minister of Art and Culture, Govind Gaude and Editor–Director of Gomantak, Raju Nayak.

As part of the competition, there were various events. The pre-events included street play, photography, short film and insta reel competitions. Off-stage events were poster-making and face-painting, while on-stage events included ad-making, dance, elocution and singing competitions.

Actress Anuja Sathe, who has worked in various films like Parmanu, Black Mail, Bajirao Mastani, Ek Thi Begaum, and lyricist Saiesh Panandikar presented the awards to the winners of the competition.

Goa College of Engineering (GEC), Farmagudi, bagged the first place (overall) for the competition. The second place was won by Dnyanprassarak Mandal's College and Research Centre, Assagao; and Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer & Management, Porvorim, won the third place at the competition.

The consolation prize were shared among Parvatibai Chowgule College Of Arts & Science, Goa College of Arts, and PES College of Arts and Science.
