Since its release on July 9, 2021, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Indian fans have been wondering about its arrival in the country. Well, fret not we bear good news. The Scarlett Johansson-led Black Widow is “coming soon” on Disney+ Hotstar. It will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Initially, the fans hoped to watch the movie when it was speculated to release worldwide in October. The movie, however, is now available on a pay-per-view platform in some parts of the world.
The platform or The House of Mouse has not revealed a release date, yet. The film will be available to watch free of cost to the subscribers.
Marvel India took to its official social media accounts to share the news with Black Widow’s fans. Accompanied by posters in all the languages mentioned above, the post read, “More than a spy. More than an Avenger. It’s time to tell her story. Marvel Studios’ @theblackwidow is coming soon in English on @DisneyplusHSP! And in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on @DisneyplusHSVIP! #BlackWidow.”
Directed by Cate Shortland and written by Eric Pearson, the movie is the origin story of our beloved Natasha Romanoff. The film brings back Johansson’s former Russian spy character to the big screen. The date for the movie’s theatrical release in India, though, has not been announced yet.
After its worldwide release, Black Widow has received positive reviews.
