Graduation day for three IATA batches held

BAMBOLIM: DCT’s S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, IATA authorized training center, Bambolim, Cujira organized the graduation day for three IATA batches of the year 2019 on Friday.

There were 9 students who were certified in IATA Airport Operations Fundamentals and 8 students who were certified in IATA Foundation in Travel and Tourism. Asst prof Cheryl Venan Dias (Programme Coordinator-MTTM/IATA) gave a report about IATA ATC. Principal Dr. Radhika S Nayak welcomed the gathering Chief guest Lokesh Matta, IATA regional training business development manager- South Asia gave an account of how IATA helped him achieve his dream career in the hospitality and aviation industry.

Since it was the International Women's Day week, three teachers Dale De Souza (Instructor -IATA Airport Operations and Ex-Jet Airways Ground Handling), Maria Lobo (Instructor - IATA Foundation and Ex-Air India/Jet Airways Cabin Crew) and Monali Kerkar (Instructor - IATA Foundation) spoke about their journey as a woman in the tourism industry and encouraged students to achieve their dreams. Kevin George (DTTF) proposed a vote of thanks.
