Specialising in design-led hybrid hotels and offering luxury lifestyle, Minimalist Hotels, the young hospitality brand now calls Goa home as Minimalist Panjim opens its doors to those heading to Goa.

“Well, Goa was always on our minds when we started expanding and researching destinations to grow the brand,” says Kanika Ahuja, marketing in-charge at Minimalist Hotels.

Like their other hotels across India, their latest in Panjim takes inspiration from Japandi architectural and design practices.

“We’ve, however, ensured to blend the beautiful takeaways from Goa’s historical past, with Portuguese architecture. So, all in all, it’s Japanese, Scandinavian and Modern,” Ahuja explains.

Having started operations on May 1, 2024, Minimalist Panjim has already caught the eye of many. With 27 well-furnished rooms, a pool, their co-brand Fika Coffee Co (on the ground floor) and a space to host private events, Minimalist Panjim promises just the right ambience to unwind.

Speaking about her favourite space, Ahuja says, “There are many, but my favourites include the poolside which is quite self-explanatory, the ceramic and the library grid on the ground floor where we have sourced the ceramics from local suppliers, and a great collection of repurposed books, a corner that I love!”

Apart from the library, the ground floor also houses a café, their own co-brand Fika Coffee Co, that specialises in freshly-brewed coffee, all-day breakfast menu and meal bowls prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

They are also working towards introducing a few local gems to the menu.

Located in the capital city, Minimalist Panjim allows easy access to major tourist attractions in the vicinity like Fontainhas and Divar Island.

“We provide localised tours to these places hosted by one of the local experts. And, if you stay with us, you should take at least one experience to see the real Goa, beyond the beach,” Ahuja recommends.

A one-stop solution for vacationers heading to Goa, Minimalist Panjim is offering a monsoon package ‘Minimalist Monsoon Club’, where Goa is showcased beyond the beaches with three unique local experiences priced at Rs 30,000 per person.
