Transport and Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho on Wednesday said that BJP would return to power in Goa.
Speaking to the reporters outside Secretariat at Porvorim, Godinho said, “even during the municipal elections, people were saying that change was imminent. Still, BJP won all the municipalities. The same was being said during the Zilla Panchayat elections and negative propaganda was being spread. However, for the first time, the BJP won a clear majority in both the district panchayats. BJP will also get a clear majority in the coming elections.”
Praising the state government, Godinho said, “People want a stable government. BJP has implemented many schemes for the welfare of the people and has developed Go. BJP has the right leadership at the centre and in the state as well.”
Commenting on two-time Chief Minister Luizinho Falerio quitting Congress, Godinho said when leaders feel insecure, they seek a safe place. “It does not sacrifice, it is rehabilitation When leaders feel down, they rehabilitate themselves and few leaders are smart enough to get the best out of such situations.
The six-time MLA also took slammed Trinamool Congress and said their “entry into Goa will only benefit BJP”.
