Goa BJP state president Sadanand Tanavade on Thursday said that BJP would return to power in the next assembly elections in Goa.
Speaking to the reporters on the second day of his state-wide tour in Quepem, Tanavade said: "As the BJP has won the last Zilla Panchayat and Municipal elections, we will come back to power in the forthcoming Assembly elections on the strength of the party workers.”
He also accused the opposition parties of misleading the people of Goa. “MLA Babu Kavalekar started a well-equipped Covid care centre to provide better facilities to the people but the opposition did nothing but mislead the people against it,” he said.

Praising the Goa government, Tanavade said Goa government is people’s government
"People have seen what the Central government has done for the people during the COVID-19 period and the state government has done what it can to prevent the pandemic, and this government belongs to the people in the true sense of the word," he said.
"As the BJP has won the last Zilla Panchayat and Municipal elections, we will come back to power in the forthcoming Assembly elections on the strength of the party workers," he added.
Meanwhile. Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant ‘Babu’ Kavlekar on Thursday said that BJP would return to power in the next assembly elections in Go no matter what the opposition says.
