Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant on the occasion of his birthday, visited the District Asilo Hospital at Mapusa.
Chief Minister during his visit condemned the attack on medical staff and frontline COVID-19 warriors in some parts of India. Stringent laws enacted by the Union Government against such attacks were the need of the hour to desist such attacks. Goa, he said, is now a Corona free State. We should support the corona warriors including medical and para-medical fraternity to set an example for others to follow and fight against this pandemic, he added.
The Chief Minister who spend half day in the hospital said that though he is a Chief Minister of the State, he is an Ayurvedic Doctor by profession and has visited the OPD at Asilo Hospital after 2008. I am dedicating my birthday to the Corona warriors. He also complimented the entire team including the support staff lead by Dr Edwin Gomes for their relentless efforts to contain the spread of the pandemic.
