PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Bharatiya Janata Party (VJP) State president Sadanand Shet Tanavde on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Union cabinet's approval of formation of a trust to construct a Ram temple at Ayodhya, as directed by Supreme Court.
The Chief Minister tweeted, "I congratulate PM Shri @ Narendra Modi ji on the historic announcement of creation of 'Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra' trust. A grand and magnificent #Ram Mandir at #Ayodhya will be a reality soon."
BJP State president Tanavde too said that it was a historic announcement and thanked the Prime Minister and the Union Cabinet for their resolution to set up the trust, which was as per Supreme Court direction in the landmark verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case in November last year.
