The CMO has stated that a fake screenshot of the Chief Minister’s tweet is circulating in the social media stating that the education department has declared all the educational institutions must be shut so as to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.

PANAJI: The Office of the Chief Minister (CMO) Goa on Wednesday clarified that it had not tweeted or sent messages asking education institutions in the State to remain closed amid coronavirus scare. Also, there are many other fake messages too which are being circulated via social media about coronavirus.

The CMO has clarified that no such tweet or messages have been made by the Chief Minister and screenshot/messages such as this may be cross-checked with the Official Facebook and Twitter profiles of the Minister for their authenticity before being forwarded.
