MARGAO: Founder president of Seafarers Association of Goa (India) Dixon Vaz along with his more than hundreds supporters from Benaulim joined the Congress party. Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar formally welcomed Dixon and his supporters at South Goa district office, Margao on Friday. Speaking to reporters, Girish said that Dixon Vaz with all his supporters from Benaulim made entry into the Congress party and we welcome him and his supporters. "Dixon is fighting for the cause of seafarers in Goa and he has has contacts all over Goa, which will definitely benefit Congress party in the future", Girish added. Dixon said, he had done a lot of work for the seafarers community and other social fields and never joined any political party before.
