PANAJI: Goa reported eight new positive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the total tally of active COVID-19 cases in the State to 39. "Eight suspect cases of COVID-19 were tested positive. Of these, four have travelled by train from Delhi, three from Maharashtra and one from West Bengal," said Director of Health Services in a bulletin issued. The DHS also informed that currently all of them are managed at ESI Hospital, Margao (COVID Hospital) and their condition is stable. The DHS said that 109 people have been put under home quarantine (inter-State domestic travellers) on Tuesday and 373 travellers have been put under facility quarantine. The bulletin stated that six suspects have been put under hospital isolation. "Out of 332 samples tested, 316 are negative, eight are positive and eight reports awaited," the DHS said. The DHS said that nine patients are in isolation wards currently and 581 people are quarantined at various residencies and hotels.
