Goa’s Francisco Bruto da Costa is all set to join the coaching staff at Egyptian Football Association after he was approached by Portuguese coach Nelo Vingada. He is expected to travel to Egypt next week.
Vingada is serving as the Egyptian Football Association’s strategic advisor and technical director.
Earlier, Francisco had assisted Vingada at NorthEast United FC, Kerala Blasters FC and the Malaysian national team.
Born in Margao, Francisco started his coaching career with Salcete FC. He then went on to coach Under-14, 17, and 19 age group teams at the All India Football Federation's Elite Academy.
The Goan coach also had brief stints in Malaysia as well as Bangladesh football leagues.
He will be working with the likes of Nelo Vingada, Carlos Queiroz and will be training Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah at Egypt.
