Khaunte writes to Speaker over missing of questions
"I would like to bring to your kind notice that the starred questions which are to be replied by the Chief Minister on finance and education are edited and omitted without giving any information," said Rohan Khaunte MLA Porvorim
PANAJI: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Monday wrote to Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Rajesh Patnekar over missing of questions from the set of questions tabled by him for the upcoming brief session of the Goa Assembly.
The letter addressed to the Secretary (Legislature Department), a copy of which has been also marked to the Legislative Assembly Speaker, has stated, "I would like to invite your kind attention to the set of questions (starred and unstarred) which I had tabled on January 8, 9, 10, 13 and 14 on various departments are omitted and edited from the list of Legislative Assembly starred questions at eleventh session, 2020."
"I would like to bring to your kind notice that the starred questions which are to be replied by the Chief Minister on finance and education are edited and omitted without giving any information," Khaunte said in the letter demanding to know the reasons for omission of questions as they are very important.
He has also asked the Secretary (Legislature Department) to check the questions he had raised for all five days of the forthcoming Assembly session and do the needful corrections so that the objective of the question raised is not lost.
“I request you to kindly look into this matter as soon as possible as the Assembly session is approaching on February 3, before which this issue needs to be resolved as replies will then be uploaded,” said Khaunte in the letter.
