PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that present conditions in the State will continue even in Lockdown 4.0 which started from Monday onwards. He also said that Goa will not start inter-state movement of buses.
Speaking to media persons, the Chief Minister said, "Lockdown 4.0 has started from Monday onwards. MHA has issued guidelines and same conditions will continue in the State and no major changes have been done."
He said as per Lockdown 4.0 interstate movement with the consent of both the states is permitted, but Goa will not ply interstate buses between Maharashtra and Karnataka.
"We are not starting interstate movement. All economic activities in the State will continue to be functional," he said.
Sawant said that all positive cases in Goa are imported and there is no community transmission in the State.
"Hence, there is no need for people to worry," said Sawant.
Speaking further, he said that the State Government will take action against companies retrenching workers.
"Many industries have started retrenching their workers. We have already given instructions to labour commissioner. No industry should retrench workers henceforth. Government is planning to take action against them. Once we get the list we will personally speak to them through the labour commissioner," he said.
