NIRF Ranking 2021: Goa University falls 15 positions in university ranking to 96th spot

Goa University has been ranked 96th on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for 2021. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday released the sixth edition of the NIRF through a webcast on the official website. 

Goa University has retained its spot in the 100 best universities in the county in the ranking by Union human resource development (HRD) ministry but slid from 2020 81st position.

No institute from Goa made it to the 100 top institutes and varsities in the overall category. 

Meanwhile, Goa College of Pharmacy ranked 57th in the pharmacy category and the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa, featured at the 85th rank nationally among all engineering institutes in the country.

IIT Madras has topped the list in the overall category, while IISc Bengaluru is at the second position followed by IIT Bombay. You can check out the complete list of the rankings for all top universities on their official website.

The institutes are given scores based on – teaching, learning and resources (TLR), research and professional practice (RP), graduation outcomes (GO), outreach and inclusivity (OI), peer perception.
