One more tested positive for COVID-19; tally of active cases at 48

PANAJI: The State reported one positive case of COVID-19 on Monday, taking the total tally of active COVID-19 cases in Goa to 48.

As per the bulletin issued by Director of Health Services (DHS) on Monday, Goa has 67 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 19 cases have recovered while 48 are active cases.

"One suspect case of COVID-19 was tested positive. She had travelled by bus from Maharashtra. Currently she is managed at ESI Hospital, Margao (COVID Hospital) and her condition is stable," informed DHS in the bulletin.

In all, 183 people have been put under home quarantine (interstate domestic travellers) on Monday and 189 travellers have been put under facility quarantine. Also, two suspects have been put under hospital isolation.

"Out of 361 samples tested, 238 are negative, one is positive and 122 reports awaited," DHS said.

Presently, 644 persons have been quarantined at various residencies and hotels.
