PANAJI: The Old Goa police on Wednesday nabbed all six minor boys who had escaped from Apna Ghar, Merces on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday night six juveniles in conflict with law, escaped from Apna Ghar. The boys climbed down by tying bedsheets together and entered the CWC section and fled from the window after removing a grill. They also climbed the compound wall and locked the caretakers in the dormitory after bolting it from outside.

Following a complaint by matron Esperanca Menezes, Old Goa PI Krishna Sinari along with his team and Panaji SDPO Uttam Raut Dessai visited the spot. Immediately police staff were deployed in search of juveniles.

During the search, juveniles were spotted near Gera School, accordingly thorough search was conducted and staff managed to trace three juveniles hiding at the construction site.

During enquiry with the traced juveniles it was learnt that they were planning to flee to Mumbai via railway. Accordingly, a trap was laid at the Karmali railway station and other three were caught early in the morning when they were trying to board the train. All the six escaped juveniles were re-admitted in the Apna Ghar, Merces, police said.

The police team consisting of Old Goa PI K P Sinari, lady PSI Veronica Coutinho, PSI Viraj and constables Samir Fadte, Mayur Asulkar, Sudesh Sawant, Sarvesh Gawas, Gauresh Naik, Yogan Satodkar, Bhiva Dharne, Pandhari Naik, Mhadav Madkaikar, Devesh, Ismail Shaikh, Vinod Kerkar, Kishan Kolambkar and lady constables Shobha Chavan, homeguards Pramod, Sunil, Sandesh and Narendra managed to trace the juveniles immediately under the supervision of Panaji SDPO, Uttam Raut Dessai.
