PANAJI: In the continuing drive against narcotic drugs, the Calangute police whilst patrolling apprehended one Erwin Strebinger, 34, a French national near the Fat Fish Restaurant, Agarwaddo, Calangute and recovered charas weighing 32.60 grams, valued at Rs 25,000. The raid was conducted by a police team headed by PI Nolasco Raposo and comprising of PSI Viraj Naik, PSI Rajaram Bhagkar, constables Mithun Naik, Ravindra Gaonkar and Dinanath Kinlekar.

"The Goa police is committed towards zero tolerance of drugs and our action against drugs and other illegalities will continue," said PI Raposo.

Further investigation, in this case, is conducted by PSI Vishal Mandrekar under the direction of Calangute PI Nolasco Raposo and the overall supervision of Porvorim SDPO Edwin Colaco and SP (crime) Pankaj Kumar, who is presently holding the charge of SP North.
