Goa government has commenced Tika Utsav 3.2 from September 16 to facilitate vaccination for the citizens of Goa who have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19. Coronavirus vaccination will be carried out in a total of 185 centres as per the demand of village panchayats, including 40 permanent vaccination centres at government hospitals and health centres.

The active cases in the state have been dropped to 699 on 16 September with 2 new death at Gandhi Medical College (GMC) and 96 recovery cases news cases in the last 24 hours. 18, 839 people received the vaccine on September 16.

In Goa, the first vaccine against covid has reached 100 per cent. However, 55 per cent of people have not yet received the second vaccine. As many as 12,839 vaccinations have been carried out today under the special vaccination campaign to achieve the target.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have an online conversation tomorrow at 10.30 am. The Covid preventive vaccine will interact with beneficiaries and healthcare staff online. The online dialogue of the Prime Minister will be telecast live at the main lecture hall of Goa Medical College, Ravindra Bhavan, Madgaon, Sanguem Municipal Hall, Rajiv Kala Mandir, Ponda, Municipal Hall Sanquelim and Old Asilo Hospital Hall Mapusa.

The dialogue will be telecast live in all the Gram Panchayats and Municipalities in the state except the above key locations. Elected representatives of all local bodies are requested to attend the public screening of their respective local bodies along with the citizens of their wards. The program will also be shown at all primary, urban and social health centres across the state.
