Noted author Gurcharan Das will discuss his memoir, Another Sort of Freedom, at the International Centre Goa (ICG), Dona Paula, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 5.30 pm.

Renowned psychoanalyst and author, Sudhir Kakar, will be in conversation with Das. The event is free and open to the public.

An established writer, Das is best known for his popular trilogy on classical Indian goals for the ideal life.

India Unbound (2002) was the first volume on artha (‘material well-being’), which narrated the story of India's economic rise from Independence to the global information age.

The second, The Difficulty of Being Good (2008) is on dharma, or 'moral well-being', and is rich with learned thoughts on the epic, Mahabharata, and its moral dilemmas.
