
30th Annual Festival of Plants & Flowers by the Green Heritage Eco-Club
The 30th Annual Festival of Plants & Flowers by the Green Heritage Eco-Club of St Francis Xavier’s School, Siolim, will be held on August 20, 21 and 22.
This year, the festival theme is ‘Biodiversity of Vegetables and Fruits in the Wild’, with ‘Save Our Soil’ as the sub-theme.
A variety of plants, including flowering, cactii, medicinal, vegetable and fruit plants, herbs and exotic plants, by students will be on display, in addition to creative pottery, artefacts and objects made of waste.
Plant nurseries stall will sell a variety of plants, garden implements, fertilizer and organic manure.
There will be inter-school competitions with participants from 25 schools. Project competitions on vegetables in the wild, on-the-spot competitions of flower rangoli, grafting of fruit and flowering plants and drawing will also be held.
