Situated in the heart of Curchorem, the Wild West Family Garden Restaurant & Bar is a passion project of Agnelo and Jennifer Colaco.
In 2000, with over two decades of combined experience in the hospitality industry, the couple breathed life into the restaurant, turning it into a delightful dining destination.
Driven by the desire to give back to his community, Agnelo, always dreamt of curating a space where locals and tourists could come together to dine.
Jennifer, who had a strong background in commerce and finance, contributed valuable business expertise to the venture. As a result, the two individuals guaranteed its success right from the beginning.
“The story behind the restaurant is one of passion, dedication and a shared vision between Agnelo and me,” says Jennifer, who after the sudden demise of her husband, has been running the operations of the restaurant herself.
Whether you are craving for some Crab Xec Xec or some Rava-fried Kingfish, Wild West has an array of bestsellers that are sure to tickle your taste buds.
Jennifer lists items from the menu, which includes Chicken Cafreal, Chicken Tava Fry, Veg Crispy, Butter Garlic Squids to Goan traditional favourites like Chicken Caldine and Shark Ambot Tik.
There’s something to satisfy every palate, and this nature-themed restaurant not only serves exceptional food, but also provides a warm and welcoming ambience to customers.
“Whether you choose to dine amidst the lush greenery or opt for cosy indoor seating, you’ll be greeted with warmth and hospitality,” smiles Jennifer.
With a capacity of 300, the space consists of multiple shacks for added privacy, and treehouse-style seating. There’s also a children’s play area, complete with swings and electronic games ensuring that families can enjoy quality time together, while savouring delicious cuisine.
A regular at the restaurant says, “We have been visiting the restaurant since our childhood. It still has the same vibe and the quality of the food has not changed. We love to come as Wild West is so cheerful and welcoming.”
Visitors often compliment the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere and food quality, and these have been the fond memories Jennifer cherishes to this day.
Reflecting on the journey of running the restaurant, she shares, “From heart-warming encounters with loyal customers to unforgettable moments shared with celebrity guests from Bollywood and beyond, each experience has left an incredible mark on our hearts."
"However, it's the unwavering support and appreciation from our customers and staff that truly stands out,” she points out.
There’s ample space for customers to unwind and relax at the restaurant. And well, it’s also a preferred choice for celebrating buffet parties for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, communions etc.
Given the huge parking space, many corporate and other industry meetings are also regularly held at Wild West.
As day transits into night, the restaurant comes alive with the soft glow of ambient lighting and soothing music.
