The Pandava Caves are located in North Goa
Have you been travelling all over Goa for a couple of days? Want to explore more of Goa? Well then, how about visiting some of the caves in Goa. These caves are located at different parts of Goa, and some are close to the beaches, while there are many which can be reached only after a trek. If you want to enjoy more of Goa, then you certainly shouldn't miss a visit to these caves.
Kaurati's Caves, in Candolim
1. Kaurati's Caves
LOCATION: Candolim
This cave is a 15-minute walk from the Aguada Fort (Taj Resort). Although the place is a tad narrow, it is quite manageable. This place can easily be missed by tourists due to it's offbeat location. You might have to walk for a while before you reach the cave, but it's quite rewarding in the end with the beautiful scenery and amazing photo ops.
You need to be careful while treading here as the rocks are pretty slippery. So, do watch your steps! It would be good if you wear your trekking shoes, instead of flats or other shoes.
The evening views are simply amazing from here, so if you want to enjoy a bit of trekking and some good views, then this should be the stop for you.
Harvalem Caves, Sanquelim
2. Harvalem Caves
LOCATION: Sanquelim
Although a little small, these are some of the oldest caves that you will find in Goa. Harvalem Caves, or the Pandava Caves, are caves which were built during the time of the Pandavas. They are rock cut caves, and have 5 different Shiv lingas present inside.
These caves are on the way to the Harvalem waterfalls, and so you absolutely cannot miss them!
Cupa Sea Cave, Canacona
3. Cupa Sea Cave
LOCATION: Canacona
Looking to have fun in a cave? Then, the Cupa Sea Cave is just the thing for you. This cave is a hidden true gem of Goa, and is located in the Loliem Village, in Canacona Taluka, South Goa.
If you're planning on visiting these caves, it's best to go when the tide is low as the sea is connected to the caves. When there's a high tide, you will likely miss the caves. It's best to wear good trekking shoes as the route is a bit tricky.

Rivona Caves, South Goa
4. Rivona Caves
LOCATION: Ponda
Rivona caves, also known as the Pandava caves, are located about 5 km northeast of Ponda. It is believed that they were cut/dug out during the 6th or 7th century by Buddists monks.
These caves have great significance in Hindu mythology as it is said that Lord Hanuman visited this place. It is also said that there is a rock sculpture, which as made by a Buddhist monk, and is cut out of laterite stone.
