There will be an intriguing talk, ’The wisdom behind Konkani proverbs’, based on the treasure of the Konkani language, at the Museum of Goa (MOG), Pilerne, on June 18, 2023.
Cultural expert and author, Dr Pandurang Phaldesai, will be the resource person for the talk, which will be moderated by architect Pritha Sardessai.
The Konkani language contains numerous fascinating riddles, sayings and proverbs that are the outcome of the wisdom of the people over hundreds of years.
These are a rich source of information about the culture of the people, and include social, political, economic and religious elements of the days gone by.
