Supermodel and actor, Milind Soman, is all set to lead the second edition of RG Marathon Championship 2022, on September 25, 2022, which will kick off from Goa University Ground, Near Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Taleigao.
The theme for this year's marathon is 'A Conscious effort to create awareness'. There will be races in 3 categories - 5km, 10km and 21km. The evenT will start from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium and end at the same point.
This idea behind the marathon is to make a conscious effort to create public awareness on the need to prioritise good health and focus on fitness as the world nears the end of the pandemic.
Speaking at a press conference, RG Hospitals & Organiser, Dr Marzook, said, "We are all excited to witness the second edition of the RG Marathon Championship 2022. We were extremely happy to see the response last year from people across the state and are certain to witness participation in large numbers this year as well."
Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, will be present at the event and the marathon will be led by supermodel, Milind Soman.
For RG Hospital, the purpose of the marathon is to lay emphasis on good health as they believe that running is a great workout for physical as well as mental health, while also helping one to remain fit.
This marathon aims to provide an open opportunity for all to ignite energies in action, participation and celebration of good health.
