The buses of the Citi-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) Museum on Wheels are all set to make their way to Goa on September 29, 2022 and September 30, 2022 from 10 am to 5pm.
The two buses will be parked outside the Museum of Christian Art, MoCA, Old Goa.
About the exhibition
During the two days, the buses will showcase two exhibitions:
Bus 1 - The exhibition focuses on 100 years of CSMVS (centenary exhibition). On January 10, 2022, CSMVS completed 100 years of its glorious journey, and this exhibition is a celebration of the museum’s rich collection and cultural significance.
Bus 2 - This exhibition will feature ‘In-Tune: The Journey from Sound to Music’. This is an exhibition which aims to draw a bridge between the scientific and aesthetic aspects of music, enabling visitors to enjoy the experience of interacting with various musical instruments.
The exhibitions will be open to the public on both days and the buses will be parked outside the museum during this time.
Seminar for educators
On September 29, 2022, from 11 am onwards, there will be a collaborative seminar with the Museum of Christian Art (MoCA) which will be open to all. The theme of the seminar is ‘Teaching with Museum Objects’.
This will be an educative session for educators from school, colleges, museums and other institution.
