As part of the celebrations of the International Year of Millets 2023, the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration, Goa, (FDA) has organised ‘Eat Right Millets Mela’ at the Inox Courtyard, Panjim, on March 25, 2023.
There will be food stalls with specially curated recipes, traditional Goan food, recipe demos by chefs with a focus on millet-based foods, live music etc. The new FDA mobile testing van will also be launched on the occasion.
The schedule is as follows:
4 pm: Inauguration by State Minister of Health, Vishwajit Rane
5.30 pm: Session on millets & nutrition followed by live cooking demo
6.15 pm: Debate on ‘Food Safety Panorama of Goa’
7 pm: Cooking competition (in collaboration with the Culinary Forum of Goa) for professional chefs based on ‘Millets’
8 pm to 10 pm: Live music
