
The Congress-GFP party workers at Shri Ajoba Temple at Querim

The Congress party, who is an pre-poll with Goa Forward Party, kicked off its election campaign for the upcoming Assembly election and sought the blessing of Shri Ajoba Temple at Querim in Mandrem constituency on Friday.
Addressing the supporters, Former Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, Ramakanth Khalap said, "the campaign in Mandrem will start from today and appealed people to take advantage of congressional atmosphere in Goa. The next government will be formed by Congress."
Sachin Parab, President of Youth Congress, said, "there was talk that the seat would be given to another alliance party, but the seat will be given to the Congress party and the party has started its campaign. Congress party wants the truth out about job recruiting scam and give justice to the unemployed youths."
He further said that his candidature would be announced soon. 'As we bow to God, the electorate bowed before the king and told the MLA to take a vow to win the Congress,' he said.
Sachin assures that 23 Congress MLAs will be elected on their own for the upcoming assembly election.
Former Education minister Sangeeta Parab said , 'the people should realise how the BJP has treated Goa for the last 10 years. This government has come to be known as a government of scams. The governor refused the visit at the behest of the government. The Bjp-led government should be ousted in an unethical way.'
While speaking on the occasion, Congress group president Narayan Redkar and women president Rekha Parab appealed to the people to unite and work for the victory of the Congress party.
Laxmikant Shetgaonkar, former sarpanch Gurudas Pandey, Seva Dal president Arun Vasta and other supporters were present in large number.
