Former union minister Ramakant Khalap on Monday said that people are ready to bring Congress back to power as he launched Congress's 'Mhargayecho jagor’ (price-rise vigil) campaign in Sakhali.
The Congress workers gathered near the Sakhali bus stand and raised anti-BJP slogans.
The Congress workers visited houses and shops in Sakhali Bazaar area to spread the campaign about the BJP government's failure, corruption and rising inflation.
"The BJP government has failed on all fronts and the people of Goa are fed up with the BJP regime due to inflation and corruption. Therefore, the slogan "Ab ki bar BJP ki har" is being heard everywhere," said Khalap.
Ex MLA Pratap Gawas said that inflation has become unbearable for the people of the state. "People have understood that there is no alternative but Congress," he said
Former mayor Sunita Verekar, former sarpanch Pravin Blegan, North Goa Congress secretary Anant Pisurlekar, Renuka Desai, Sandeep Kanekar, Fondekar, Amonkar were also present.
