Goa logged 1592 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday

Goa logged 1592 fresh coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours pushing the overall tally to 1,21,501 as the test positivity rate shot up to 27.38 per cent.

Goa had 1,817 new infections on Sunday while the test positivity rate was 24.7 per cent.

The number of active cases has crossed the 10,000-mark. The new infections have taken the active tally to 10,139.

There was one fresh fatality in the coastal state in the last 24 hours and the death toll has reached 3533.

In just the last 10 days, cumulative daily infections have crossed 10,000 and the positivity rate has risen from 6.5 per cent on January 1 to 27.38 per cent on Monday.

Goa's both districts have breached the 20 per cent weekly positivity rate mark.
