It is the highest ever daily Covid tally for Goa at 3,936 on Wednesday in the ongoing wave.
As per the bulletin provided by the health department, Goa's positivity rate stood at 38.76 per cent, down from 45.78 per cent a day ago.. Goa's active case tally has reached 22,807. As many as 47 people were hospitalized and 34 were discharged in the 24 hours.
With seven deaths reported on Monday, the fatality count has increased to 3,576.
A 15-year-old girl from Sanguem was among seven covid deaths reported in Goa in the last 24 hours. She died after a few hours of hospitalisation. A 61-year-old man,a native of Belgavi was brought dead to the hospital
A total of 10153 samples were tested during the last 24 hours while 3119 people were recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery rate to 87.96 per cent.
On the vaccination front, As many as 4,445 people were vaccinated on Wednesday.
