It is not just locals, many tourists also use Kadamba buses service to reach Dabolim Airport and Vasco Railway Station as they cannot afford taxi fares.

The passengers at the Panaji’s Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus stand are a harried lot as they have to wait for hours to catch a bus from Panaji to Vasco due to a shortage of buses between this route.

Though many working professionals are travelling for Ganesh Chaturthi celebration with the hustle-bustle of passengers lasting for the entire day, the less number of buses plying between this route had led to inconvenience to many Goans.

The KTC  is operating only a few buses with service getting fully opened up after the second wave. However, still, passengers are a suffering lot.

“The state government has been doing injustice to the people of Vasco, although most of the revenue is coming from Vasco. As Vasco is a port city, most of the excise duty goes to the state government. Vasco has been deprived of development even with the state government taking over the Jakat Naka (Octray) from Vasco. Now, in a way, the government has started harassing the citizen of Vasco by making its bus service less available,” a passenger told Gomantak Times who did not want to be named.

It is not just locals, many tourists also use Kadamba buses service to reach Dabolim Airport and Vasco Railway Station as they cannot afford taxi fares.

As Goa is a tourist destination and KTC Board is a part of it, there is a demand from the passengers that they should more buses on this route.
