

Sirvodem SC clinched their first game of the Goa GFA Vedanta Women's Football League with a landslide victory against Compassion FC at Fatorda on Wednesday. T
The defending champions beat Compassion FC 10-0 thanks to Titli Sarkar's stellar seven-goal performance.
The other three goals for Sirvodem SC were scored by V inoshka Fernandes (two goals) and Raveena (one goal).
In the other match, FC Goa beat the United Club of Telaulim 3-0 at the Navelim. After a goalless first half, FC Goa was fired up in the second half as Valanka D'Souza scored in just seven minutes after the break. Later Velani Fernandes scored in the 69th and 79th minutes to seal the victory for FC Goa.
Now the next matchday is scheduled for October 9, where Sirvodem SC will face Futebol Club YFA at Navelim whereas FC Goa will take on Compassion FC in Fatorda.
The tournament was inaugurated in the presence of FC Goa Technical Director Derrick Pereira, GFA Vice President Anthony Pango, GFA Women's Committee President Carol Fernandes, Vice President Arnold Costa, Celza Football Academy's Melroy Maura.
