YRC unit of Shree Damodar Higher Secondary School of Science had organised a talk on importance of balanced diet and health care for its students on Saturday. The resource person for the function was D. Bansi Naik Khaunte, a well known pediatrics orthopaedic surgeon working at Hospicio Hospital, Margao.

PANAJI: YRC unit of Shree Damodar Higher Secondary School of Science had organised a talk on importance of balanced diet and health care for its students on Saturday. The resource person for the function was D. Bansi Naik Khaunte, a well known pediatrics orthopaedic surgeon working at Hospicio Hospital, Margao.

During the interactive session the speaker stressed on eating wholesome balanced diet to maintain good health. The students were also informed about the importance of vitamins to be included in their diet. He also asked the students to perform daily exercise to be fit. He also advised them to think global and eat local, thereby giving importance to the local available fruits and vegetables that are seasonal in nature.

On the occasion, the principal R K Desai advised the students to maintain good health and to remain healthy. The programme concluded with question and answers session followed by vote of thanks proposed by Satendra Velip. The introduction of the guest was done by Bhushan Sail. The programme was well co-ordinated by Ramprasad Naik.
