A 19-year-old girl from Manipur died in an car accident when a car rammed into a parked trailer on NH-17 road in Dabolim in the early hours of Monday, December 6.
The deceased has been identified as Eliza Devi Laishram and was working as a trainee at a reputed hotel.
According to Vasco police, the accident was reported at around 2 am. The car was heading towards the airport when the driver lost control and dashed into a parked trailer near the airport.
The hit was so severe that the deceased girl, who was sitting at the back died while the other two occupants suffered serious injuries and are getting treated at Goa Medical College Hospital (GMC).
Vasco police is further investigating the matter.
