Konkan Railway Police with the seized liquor worth Rs 25,100

With election just few week away, police have been conducting raids in various places and have seized many illegal items including cash, drugs and liquor from many places.
The Konkan Railway Police on Monday seized a total of 139 bottles of liquor od different brands worth Rs 25,100 from platform No.1 of Margao Railway station during the arrival of the Amravati Express. No arrest has been made.
In the last few days the police of Verna and Vasco in the Mormugao taluka have raided and confiscated a bottles of liquor worth Rs 93,429 from a restaurant and bar and the bottles of liquors were handed over to the Vasco's excise office
Last week, Chief Electoral Officer Kunal had said that a total of Rs 2.44 crore worth of illicit liquor, cash, drugs and other illicit items have been seized till Friday during the code of conduct.
