Indian winger Redeem Tlang has joined Odisha FC on loan for the rest of the ISL season from FC Goa in the ISL January transfer window.
"I’m very happy and excited to be here and joining the Juggernauts. I’ll give my everything for the club," said Tlang, after signing with Odisha FC.
Tlang joined the Gaurs in the summer of 2020, a season after helping NorthEast United to their first-ever semi-final berth in the 2019/20 season. The 26-year-old was also part of the Gaurs' historic AFC Champions League squad and the 2021 Durand Cup-winning campaign.
Tlang scored his only goal for FC Goa in their end of season victory over Bengaluru in 2021 to seal their spot in the playoffs for a league-record 6th time.
Odisha FC head coach Kino Garcia, was elated with Redeem Tlang's signing as he said, "I think Redeem is a good addition to the team. He is a player with experience in the ISL. Redeem is a player with pace, with good abilities in both legs. He can play in the attacking zone and outside of it. It's good for us bringing his experience and competitiveness to the squad."
