Former champions Dempo Sports Club consolidate their top spot in the Goa Pro League as they defeated Sesa Football Academy 2-0. The match was played at Duler Stadium in Mapusa.
Pedro Gonsalves and Gaurav Vaigankar scored one goal each in both halves to seal the victory for the Golden Eagles. The defeat ended Seja Academy's unbeaten run in the tournament.
Dempo Club took the lead in the 22nd minute of the match as Gonsalves hit the perfect pinpoint header from Suraj Hadkonkar corner. In the second half, the Golden Eagles doubled their lead. At the 51st minute mark, Suraj once again delivered another perfect corner kick as Gaurav Vaigankar to find the back of the net with a precise header and made the score 2-0.
