FC Goa head coach Juan Ferrando expects attacking football from their Indian Super League (ISL) opener against defending champions Mumbai City FC.
Speaking to media persons ahead of their opening encounter, Ferrando said, "From my point of view, I think tomorrow will be a good game. Both teams want to play in attack, have very good squads, technical and talented players."
While throwing light on their tactics for the opener, Ferrando said, "Our plan is to play well in attack, in the build-up, pressing. I'm sure tomorrow people can watch a beautiful game. Of course in my point of view, we want to take the first three points."
Juan Ferrando also praised the foreign players to join the squad during the preseason. He added, "I'm very happy that the foreign players decided to join the team so early. Edu (Bedia), Alberto (Noguera), Jorge (Ortiz). Only except Ivan (Gonzalez) who wanted to be closer to his family, an important moment for him. But them joining the team is important because the coaches can work [with them] and they can help improve the team and work like teachers for the rest of the players."
FC Goa captain Edu Bedia also joined in at a press conference where talked about how the Durand Cup has given the team a lot of confidence. He said, "The Durand Cup was very good for us because in some games, we had a lot of problems with the timing, pitches and other things. Now we are more strong, like a team, and I think our confidence increased with what we won at the Durand Cup."
