“I have sourced some of the furniture from the family, which has been passed down through generations. And since I have a passion for collecting antiques, I have collected some from around Goa,” David explains.

It’s about the experience to which David and his wife add a personal touch. “My wife and I plan an itinerary around the village so that you can experience the village life and Goa vibe better. We curate cashew feni-making trails around season time so that people know more about the drink and its source,” David says.

Guests can also hire bicycles from the property and ride through Batim’s scenic bylanes, visiting local churches, fields and ponds — a refreshing change from the usual tourist spots.
