Easter in Goa is a time of vibrant celebrations, and these are incomplete without Easter eggs. These festive treats come in various sizes and colours, and in recent years, local chocolatiers have kept pace with global trends introducing a variety of exciting flavours and fillings.

Two standout outlets in Goa — Judy’s Easter Eggs and Chocolates and Bakers Street in Porvorim — have captured the hearts (and taste buds) of locals and visitors, alike.

One of the most iconic names associated with Easter eggs in Goa is Judy’s Easter Eggs and Chocolates. With over 30 years experience crafting eggs, Judy has become a household name, especially among those who celebrate Easter in the State.

Her chocolates are widely available across local stores in North and South Goa, and many Goans fondly recall enjoying her creations over the years.

I’m grateful for the continued support from both local and commercial clients.

Based in Parra, Judy D'Costa runs a production space where all her chocolates and Easter eggs are handcrafted. She also has a retail outlet in Panjim for customer pickups.

She caters to a wide range of customers, including hotels and large-scale event orders, and proudly notes, “All the chocolates are made in-house, and I’m grateful for the continued support from both local and commercial clients.”

This year, Judy introduced a new and exciting flavour — Dubai Kunafa-stuffed Easter eggs — a luxurious twist that’s a hit among food lovers.

Traditionally, Easter eggs were either plain chocolate or marzipan, but evolving tastes have encouraged Judy to experiment. “I make sure there’s something for everyone, no matter what the budget,” she says of her prices, which start at just Rs 80.

On the other end of the Easter spectrum, there's Bakers Street in Porvorim, known for their elaborate desserts and extravagant Easter eggs. This year, they crafted one of Goa’s largest Easter eggs — measuring a whopping 10 inches.

Priced roughly Rs 1,200, the egg is filled with goodies like Cadbury's Gems, Ferrero Rocher Moments, Nutties and other treats.

Themed Easter eggs are also a big draw, with designs inspired by Squid Game, Manchester United, The Lion King’s Mufasa, and more. Their special Easter market ran from April 17 to April 20, 2025.
