PM Modi interacts with health workers, vaccine beneficiaries in Goa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with healthcare workers and beneficiaries of the Covid vaccination programme in Goa through video-conferencing.

The Prime Minister congratulated the state’s health workers for achieving 100 per cent administration of the first dose of the vaccination in the state.

“Every eligible person in Goa has received 1st dose of vaccine in Goa. This is a big deal in the fight against Coronavirus. In the last few months, Goa has fought bravely with natural calamities like heavy rains, cyclones, floods. I congratulate all the corna warriors, health workers, team Goa for maintaining the pace of corona vaccination amidst these natural challenges,” PM Modi said. 

“People living in far-away areas have also been vaccinated at a rapid pace. Goa has not allowed the pace of vaccination to drop,” he added.

Interacting with healthcare workers and beneficiaries of the Covid vaccination program in Goa via video conferencing, PM Modi praised the health workers to aid in the vaccination drive.

He further recognized healthcare workers like Dr Nitin, Dhupdale, Seema Fernades and others, and praised their efforts to run the vaccination drive in Goa., 

The Prime Minister praised doctors, medical personnel, teachers, and social workers for their contribution to the vaccination campaign.

“The kind of cooperation Goa has displayed to combat social and geological hurdles in battling COVID is commendable,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings to people on Ganesh Chaturthi, wishing them peace and prosperity on the festival, urged more people to get vaccinated in the coming days.

The event also witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, among others.

On September 10, Sawant had announced that the state had administered the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 to 100 per cent of its eligible population and congratulated the state’s doctors and health workers.
