BICHOLIM: The Bicholim police on Wednesday zeroed in three suspects in connection with the murder of a 44-year old woman from Ravan-Sattari.
It may be recalled that a body of an unknown woman was found in the canal of Anjunem dam situated at Kulan-Sankhali on Friday. The fact came to light after some locals spotted a body lying in the canal water.
Later, the woman was identified as one Dhanashree D Morajkar from Rawan-Sattari. The police sources stated that the woman was strangulated to death and her mobile was found at Arvalem main road.
On Wednesday out of three suspects, one of them ran away from the police station in the morning and was later caught by the police at Vathadev- Bicholim. He was hiding on a tree.
The police have now zeroed in three suspects and they are hoping to crack the case by Thursday.
The North Goa SP, Utkrishta Prasoon and DySP, Gurudas Gawde will interrogate the suspects. Police have suspected the involvement of this suspect in the crime that ran away from the police station.
