Ringing in the festive season with IHCL, Goa
Donned in Christmas hats, gloves and aprons, the crowd joined hands in mixing a colossal spread of assorted nuts, rich dry fruits and aromatic spices including cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg with generous amounts of spirits.
The annual Cake Mixing Ceremony of the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) marked the beginning of the festive celebrations with great pomp and enthusiasm.
The centuries-old tradition, which heralds the beginning of the merry season, witnessed an excited gathering eager to participate in the ritual of Christmas cake mixing, reflecting the true spirit of the season.
As several pairs of hands worked together at the ceremony, the air was punctured with a sweet-smelling fragrance, while the festive ambience was accompanied by a melody of traditional carols.
In line with Paathya, the company’s ESG+ framework to drive its sustainability and social impact measures, the hotels incorporated an assortment of locally sourced ingredients, and collaborated with non-profit organisations to share in the joy and festive spirit.
From December 20, 2023 onwards, a selection of the finest goodies and traditional Christmas delights will be showcased at IHCL, Goa.
