The infectious laughter and the funny snorts of Peppa Pig have become a household name. Imagine Peppa Pig, her family and friends come out from the flat screen TV to life? Well, it’s going to happen at Panjim’s Kala Academy as 'Peppa Pig's Adventure' comes live on stage.
Get ready then, with your kids to watch the show live and see the excitement of your kids giggling to oinks and screaming in delight as Peppa and her brother George jump in muddy puddles. For kids today, Peppa Pig is the Tom and Jerry of the 21st century and almost every child loves Peppa, which makes the production a treat for kids.
THE MAN BEHIND THE SHOW
Speaking to Gomantak Times Digital, Meherzad Patel, Director of Peppa Pig Adventure Live, and Founding Partner & Director at Sillypoint Productions, reminisced how even before this project could become a reality, he carried Peppa Pig key chain in his pocket.
“As a father of a young kid, I know the voices. I've read the books and I've watched the cartoons.I've lived through the merchandise of Peppa Pig," said Meherzad.
When our actors practice, every character knows the lines and the following part. That way there's uniformity across the board. So, even if one actor is sick, the other one steps in with the exact same quality.

He adds, "You embody the voice of the character along with his personality trait. So, you don't look at it as a pig, you look at it as a father, a mother. That's the whole point.”
The play has characters from the series—Peppa Pig, George, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and friends like Suzy Sheep, Pedro Pony and Gerald Giraffe who go on a thrilling camping trip. Complete with tent-building, campfire songs, stargazing and a whole lot of muddy puddle jumping, the show promises an interactive and unforgettable theatrical experience for young audiences.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
To maintain the uniformity on stage, Meherzad made it a point to see that rehearsals took place in a very professional and systematic manner, where everyone got to do the exact same thing.

ENTERTAINMENT & EXCITEMENT
The Muddy Puddle song, Daddy Pig's entry, and other parts in the play will make the kids jump and scream in joy, said Meherzad.
“The play has got so many different characters and every city we went to, we got the exact same reaction. Kids are excited. Parents are even more excited. Kids jump. Kids dance. Parents take videos of their kids."

"Parents are smiling away and enjoying the fact that the kids are having a ball. And it's not Goa based or Bangalore based or Bombay based. It's quite global,” laughed the director, who has previously staged the play in Chandigarh, Indore, Kolkata and Bengaluru to a delighted crowd.
